The blanket that took a year.
I started this blanket a year ago today. It was a couple weeks ago when I finally said to myself, you if this thing isn’t done a year later I may just loose my mind. Two weeks later of knitting like a crazy person and we have blanket. There were something like 160 stitches per row, 260 rows… thats about (or exactly) 41,600 stitches. The blanket would have been a perfect size for a baby, and eventually will be a perfect size for one of her baby dolls, but for now it is just lovely for my little bug in her rug. I will admit that before now I wouldn’t dare put a blanket in her crib, but with winter approaching, and her one year birthday too I am more comfortable with the idea. And of course it is loaded with lacy holes for breathing in the case she does pull it over her face.
Made with love from mama.
